PRIVATE VIEWING / WORK IN DEVELOPMENT

A new body of sculptural work is taking form. These objects are not yet ready for public presentation; I prefer to share them when their material and conceptual investigation has reached its final form.

Collectors and curators with a specific interest in the work are welcome to request a private studio appointment. The work will be presented publicly in due course.

SCULPTURE / MATERIAL INVESTIGATIONS

I began in theatre, creating realities with no material evidence that they had ever existed. Years later, the object entered my practice through performance: a stone, a ball, a stick. Its physical nature remained unchanged, yet the audience could transform its meaning.

My sculptural research continues that movement from gesture to matter. Objects of Power examines how materials, forms, and human attention come to invest ordinary things with symbolic authority. I work with obsidian, concrete, wood, adobe, and architectural geometries, treating each object as a proposition rather than a replica of an artifact or a claim of supernatural force.

ONGOING STUDY — Obsidian Mirror. A polished obsidian disc, approximately 5.5–6.3 inches in diameter, is considered within different architectural surrounds. The work investigates reflection, threshold, and the tension between an inert material and the meanings we give it.
